My Third IS Lesson:Introduction To HTML And Worksheet HTML

In this interesting lesson,i have learnt to build web pages with the use of HTML which stands for 'Hypertext Markup Language'.I have a chance to pair up with my friend to create our own web page. There is a video about teaching HTML in ten minutes. It explains to us about the format of the notepad when we want to create a web page.It normally takes about three hours to finish teaching HTML but it is a miracle that the boy about the age of thirteen in the video can be able to teach HTML in just ten minutes. It is an interesting hands on experience as i can finally have a web page created.I can also decorate and beautify the web page.At least i am having more IT knowledge now.

My Second IS Lesson:Forum Discussions

After gaining some IT knowledge since my first lesson,I had my second IS lessson taught by my friendly teacher.I can take the chance to get myself into discussions by jolting down my thoughts on my class forum.I have to put my thoughts down on a video 'Copy Not Right' by Hossan Leong. It talks about the disadvantages of copying materials from the internet, photocopying of more than a chapter from books and copying articles on the magazines.Other than that,i can even reply to my classmates' thoughts on other videos such as 'Human Computer Interaction','Social Networking In Plain English' and 'Blog Or Website?Which Is Better?' too.I find this lesson very enriching and interesting.I hope more knowledge will be gained as there are more and more IS lessons.

My First IS Lesson:The Internet & WWW

Having a keen interest in IT though not an IT expert, I enjoyed my first IS lesson very much. Firstly, my IS teacher, Mr. Kent, is a friendly & patient guy. This makes learning IS even more interesting. In lesson 1, Mr. Kent presented to us slides on 'The Internet & Wordwide Web'. This presentation shows us how the internet has grown, ways to access the internet & how to create an IS blog. I also get to know what FTP, URL, IP address etc means & how useful they are. We also viewed 2 interesting videos. 'Web 1.0 & Web 2.0' which explains what they are & their differences. 'Did you know?' reveals a lot of facts & figures on the pace the IT has grown for the past years & how much they will continue to grow. All these info were new to me.
